Capture of the CSS Florida

150 years ago today the CSS Florida was captured by Wachusett while while she lay a neutral Brazillian port. To learn more about the cruises and capture of the Florida, check out my post on Discerning History.
The most famous of the Confederate commerce raiders was the CSS Alabama, but it was far from the only one. There were many ships that sailed the world under the Confederate navy jack, and another very successful one was the CSS Florida.
